Nashville Children’s Theater Celebrates The Cat in the Hat in 2015

Since 2012, Roxanna Anspach Devlin has served as a realtor for Keller Williams Realty in Nashville, Tennessee. In this position, she represents clients, deals with contract negotiations, and closes real estate transactions. Dedicated to helping those inside and outside of the office, Roxanna Devlin spends her spare time as a community volunteer for the Nashville Children’s Theater.

Established in 1931, the Nashville Children’s Theater began as an amateur theater under the guidance of the Junior League of Nashville. It aimed to fulfill a commitment to create children’s theaters within the United States. Since its inception, it has provided a place for children to perform theatrical presentations during and after school. Performers can participate in classes and plays throughout the year.

From April 9 through May 17, 2015, the theater will show the stage version of Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat. Ideal for children from pre-kindergarten through the second grade, the play will run for 13 performances, including one designed for those with sensory issues and another for those who are hearing impaired. The National Theater of Britain provided the written stage version of the book, without added text; actors utilize extra dance and movement as well as famous illustrations from the original book.
